Nicaraguan Pottery is considered by many to be museum quality.  The process of creating this pottery is tedious and time consuming work handed down through generations.  The designs are made by using colored oxides and applied with paintbrushes or sometimes other types of primitive tools and brushes.  Each piece is handthrown, etched, painted, and burnished by hand. They are baked at a very low temperature and will not hold water.  When you see the quality of of each piece, you will be amazed at the perfection of workmanship.
